Importance of Submission
The word submission is defined as yielding, a readiness to yield, a willingness to yield or surrender to somebody, or the act of doing so, willingly bringing oneself into agreement with another.
This is solid biblical food for a successful marriage. No wonder the enemy has succeeded to a great extent in causing many to lose sight of this secret. Many times I find women will submit to their own desires, their boss, even their pastor, but not to their own husbands. Submission must be first in the home. Many are in positions of authority and require submission from those whom they lead, but in the same vein they fail to submit to those in authority over them.
When an Adam sees his Eve, he sees bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh; he sees himself incomplete without her. A part of him remains empty and void, and he knows the emptiness can only be filled by a woman who is ready to yield and surrender. Eve surrenders, knowing everything will be complete; she is confident it’s her God-given nature that brings her into agreement with him.
This incredible quality has been endowed to every woman; it is in her spiritual DNA. Inward battles are fought; many struggle daily to overcome the obstacles to submission. No wonder this seems to be one of the reasons relationships are destroyed. The key is to yield, do what is required; your obedience to the Word of God will validate you. Your obedience will take you where your understanding cannot. Your adversary the devil knows the blessing that comes through submission; his desire is to rob you of the greatest blessing God has given you.

This booklet is 8 mini chapters with brief points on some important topics for marriage.
The author shares a bit on a married couple learning to live as one and the main points touched on are: Joining together as a couple, submission and why to submit, preparing for God to work, loving as Christ loves the church and bringing all of those together.
This seems to be an excellent idea to hand out to couples engaged to be married. It is a nice quality book to be small to mid size and would make a pretty addition to a pre-wedding gift.
I didn't really love reading through the book (did so at once though) and I'm not sure why. I think it could be that it didn't really pull me in. I found myself focusing on finishing it rather than being engaged in the reading.
This book isn't likely to reach any group other than Christians but a lot of things written seem to be this way: either strong towards one religious view point or only enjoyed by those who don't follow a particular religion.
I was fond of the layout and it made the reading better and I really appreciated the Scriptures shared and relevancy of their placement.

When Love And Submission Ignite by Ken O. Griffith is more of a booklet than a book - it's only 50 (small) pages long and is something you can definitely read in one sitting. It covers basics of the dating, engagement, and marriage relationships. There's no "new truths" in it - just a good covering of biblical principles for couples.

This would be the perfect book to pass out to engaged couples, seriously dating couples, or married couples who have hit a rough patch and need some help. It would be a good resource to have on hand for marital or engagement counseling, as well. Excellent truths in a small package - perfect!

This is a 34 page book that helps you see how God sees us in relationships for men and women in marriage. It all comes down to the two principles God has ordained to how men and women should treat each other.
1) Husbands love your wives as Christ loves His church.
2) Wives submit yourselves to your husband.
When we take an honest and biblical look at what Gods Word says and ask HIM to be as we are to be then you cannot go wrong.

This was an okay book...but nothing new, which is great because Gods Word has the answers to these questions of relationships. So to me it is nothing to be ignited about.

This is a wonderful follow up to the first MEET MR. PRODUCT book! I love every page of this and the quality for the price is unbelievable! I appreciate good books and this is definitely one of them! The graphics are top notch and the information is wonderful too! I hope there is a MR. PRODUCT Volume 3! Also, pick up the NEW hardcover of MEET MR. PRODUCT! You won't be sorry...much improved! Warren Dotz and Masud Husain deserve kudos!

Must-have Eye-candy for Artists, Animators and Baby Boomers

Mr. Product Volume 2 takes an in-depth look at the advertising mascots from 1960 through 1985. Quisp, Charlie Tuna, Orange Bird, Kool-Aid Man, The Noid, Frankenberry, on and on… I love it!

An 80-page introduction discusses the trends that informed the creation of the characters - Beatniks, Super heroes and Secret Agents - and gives special attention to a variety of super-stars like Goofy Grape, Ronald McDonald and the Tootsie Pop Owl.

This is important stuff! Not only is the range of cartooning styles diverse and fascinating, but it’s just plain fun to thumb through the pages, recalling all these colorful creatures that have influenced our lives.

This book is put together with intelligence and flair. If you are a cartoonist, animator, art director, or just a pop culture junkie like me – these is a must have. Highly recommended!

Get this book and Meet Mr product volume 1. also! IT'S PURE GOLD! You will love them! If ynu are a graphic artist like I am, these two volumes are unbelievable. These compact, 5and a half by 7 inch books are 1 inch thick and heavy. Hundreds of character logos in each individual book alone. If you grew-up in the 60's or 70's, it's like seeing hundreds of old friends and some that you never knew exsisted.

“My Indian Pancha Karma” is a great read about healthy lifestyle. Lots of good advice how to bring traditional practices into our modern life. It is amazing that someone actually enjoyed 22 days in hospital! It's a new (as well as ancient) approach to health and healing.
The book is full of heartfelt notes about Indian culture. I especially like quotes form scriptures that are linked with life examples.

About the Author
Born in 1879, Freeman Wills Crofts was an Irish engineer and one of the preeminent writers of Golden Age detective fiction. Educated in Belfast, he was apprenticed at eighteen to his uncle, who was chief engineer of the Belfast and Northern Counties Railway. Marrying in 1912, he was to hold various positions in railway engineering before becoming Chief Assistant Engineer, and it was during an illness-induced absence from work that he wrote his first novel, The Cask (1920), which became an international success. Considered a classic of the detective genre, it was followed by a steady production of more than thirty novels, most of which featured the meticulous Inspector French of Scotland Yard. An influential and key pioneer of the genre, Crofts became an early member of the legendary Detection Club in London along with Agatha Christie, Anthony Berkeley and other established mystery writers. He also wrote numerous plays for the BBC, dozens of short stories, a number of true crime works, and a religious book. Known for tight plots and scrupulous attention to detail, his work set new standards in detective fiction plotting. In 1939, the author was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. In retirement from engineering he continued to write and pursued music, carpentry, gardening and travel. He died in 1957.

And the culprit is ...?

The novel opens in the old house of Starvel on a gloomy September afternoon in a remote part of Yorkshire. By Page 17 the house is burnt down, and by Page 20 the charred remains of its three inmates are discovered.
An atmosphere of gloom and dreariness is maintained throughout this novel. The house fire is found to be the result of arson, the inmates to have been murdered, and a vast amount of money to have been stolen. By Page 46 Detective Inspector French takes over the case, and we follow his investigations thereafter.
Renowned for his narrative and plot construction skills, even by 1927 when this his seventh mystery novel appeared, Crofts uses the resources of melodrama here rather than drawing on his expertise in engineering which he was later to utilize so brilliantly. We are given, however one glimpse of a 1920s railway train. "The huge engine with its high-pitched boiler and stumpy funnel rolled slowly past, followed by coach after coach, brightly lighted, luxurious, gliding smoothly by." More often encountered are dastardly murders, deadly rivalries, exhumations, and villains in disguise. Typical 1920s detection procedures are employed. Useful identifications are obtained from taxi drivers, and from bank tellers who record the numbers of bank notes of large denominations. Slowly but surely French has his man cornered and is ready to call "Check Mate" when something totally unexpected happens.
Readers who enjoy sampling mysteries from the "Golden Age of Detective Fiction" should not overlook this one. As usual Crofts' plain but fluent story telling makes for easy reading. Each sentence dovetails perfectly into its neighbors, as is the way in good storytelling.

High Quality "Humdrum" Mystery

Freeman Wills Croft was once quite a big name in mystery fiction, although nowadays he's probably only known to hardcore buffs. Some of these buffs have recently classified him as a "humdrum" writer -- I'm not one hundred percent sure what all is meant by the term, but I take it that it means, at least in part, a quiet concentration on the "humdrum" facts of detection.

That surely describes Croft,who would probably be classified in the "police procedural" bin nowadays. Its a mystery, with a puzzling crime, clues, an investigator and a surprising ending, but the focus is on procedure and the careful step by step process of Inspector French, Croft's detective.

This story is carefully written but it's pleasant in its carefulness, if that makes any sense. This is a very craftsmanlike sort of book and there's a real pleasure in that, it's very readable. French doesn't really have an inner life or psychology (outside of some modest ambition now and then), but we end up liking him anyway, maybe simply because Croft keeps the viewpoint fairly tight on French for most of the book. The case is clever and has a couple of great reverses, just when you think you have it all figured out. It flags a little when Croft tries to get actual people in it (a love story) or actual emotion (an ill-advised "thriller" portion), but mostly I can recommend this to fans of golden age mysteries.

Classic Crofts

One of Crofts's most highly praised works, which lives up to its reputation with ease. A miser and his servants are burnt to death in Yorkshire; despite the verdict of accident, murder is suggested by the fact that the bank notes, which should have perished in the fire, are still in circulation. French, disguised as an insurance investigator, travels north, and from there to France and Scotland. Despite a great deal of travelling, his plodding detection is genuinely interesting, and, although he only solves the crime a minute before he arrests the murderer, he comes across as more of a thinker than in later tales. The red herrings to which he applies his mind are as fresh as the writing and characterisation; and, although the reader will not be unduly surprised by the final revelation, he will marvel at the intricacy of a highly ingenious plot, with a nice bit of body-snatching for extra merit.
