Freddie .......From the Heart

"Freddie Mercury: His Life in his Own Words" is probably the most accurate and humerous account of his life ever written. The book is compiled almost totally from interviews he gave during his 20 year career, so there won't be much that's new or uknown to his more ardent fans, but that did not detract from the book's appeal for me. I found it amusing and insightful and felt that Freddie's comments and criticisms of society and the music business are still extremely relevant in today's world. The Foreword is written by Freddie's Mum Jer Bulsara so you know it has the family's seal of approval.
I read it over the course of one weekend - a major feat for me! I just couldn't put it down. As I was reading it I could actually picture Freddie saying these words - nothing is contrived or forced, it is wholely and solely "Freddie Mercury - in his own words!" This man truly is a Legend.
True fans will not be disappointed with this book! Now, if only Brian, Roger and John would do the same.......!!

The most entertaining book (The one you must own!)

To begin, there is really a lot of books about such a huge figure as incompareable Freddie Mercury but this one is different.
Let's see... You will find inside neither Freddie's biography nor some serious analysis stuff of any kind. However, you won't need this as long as the quotes (provocative and ridiculous at the same time) keep you laughing.
Well, I heard the people saying that this book is just a bunch of "phrases said nobody knows where and when". Let's just drop the critics, ok? This is a perfect entertaining book, which you will definitely want to read all over again.
The photos can hardly be called rare, although, they're just a pleasant addition.
The original UK Hardcover edition (which I am also happy to own) had in my opinion more attractive white cover but is long out of print (and the price is far too high even if you find one) so, I beleive buying this paperback edition would be a very good spending of your 22 bucks.
