While writing my fictional story, I had the opportunity to incorporate many real people and places into the landscape, adding a feeling for readers that this could be real. Weaving it together and moving from the present to the past is a wonderful and freeing experience.
In the next two chapters of the trilogy, Torie finds herself in a firestorm of controversy and the travels she thought were at an end, escalating. Stay tuned.

time travel done right

Out Of The Past is like an old friend...you enjoy every moment spent with the characters and miss them horribly when the end arrives. I loved the way Ms Roquet presented the time travel element of the story. Torie may find herself in an unfamiliar time period, but the people and the place she is in, yes, in, is very familiar. This book is a romance on several layers. Not only does the character go into the past, she lives her life while in the past in a way she never thought possible. What an imagination Ms Roquet has. The settings are so real and vivid, I could smell the "oldness" of the piano as well as the fresh paint on the walls. If you want a story that will have you anxious to turn the pages while dreading the time when the story will end, this is a must read.

So Awesome!!

Great story about life,love,time travel & loss.Emotional roller coaster ride for sure! There were parts where the tears just flowed and parts where you had to laugh.The characters are so lovable and real to life form.I really enjoyed this book and was in awe at the way the author had so much going on in the story line but kept me interested without losing me.
I'm not really into time travel books but this one had such an awesome twist to it that it made it seem real.And the true love between the characters Dave and Torie,was beyond awesome!Watching the love grow between them and watching Torie learn to trust her feelings was great. *Be warned...If you don't care hot steamy love scenes,you may want to skip those pages.I highly recommend this you read this awesome book on love,loss and going back in time.You won't be sorry!

What's the point?

This author had an okay idea but went nowhere with it. There were too many people involved. No point to the time travel. Even the "evil" they huint at in the description goes nowhere. You already know what is going to happen. They did nothing to try and change it. It as frustrating, she was having no fun with get boyfriend. She rarely saw him. Yet she"belonged" to him so she couldn't date anyone else. Ugh. And it was very irritating to me that she was writing her time travel experiences as true experiences of her ancestors. She donates these to the town. Trying to do geneology myself I know how frustrating it is to come across work on the Internet that people have taken the time to write up but there is no documentation to support it. There is no real love story except she did have a boyfriend and no point as to why she was traveling through time. Basically just a spectator. This poor girl's life is more boring than mine. She didn't change anything from the past. Didn't even try. I don't understand the reviews that say this is am emotional roller coaster. There was nothing even remotely exciting about this book. The writing is very amateur too. Sentences like. .... She walled down the hall. She had to pee. It was nice outside. She didn't miss her boyfriend. What was wrong with her. ....... BORING.
